In a bid to blend in....gone wrong

I have been busy but not busy...confusing right? ‎Ok, I have been busy enjoying some bit of freedom though doing almost nothing. I didn't post yesterday cos I got no inspiration and I promised to make my posts 100% original and not the usual copy and paste stuff.

Today, I went to the market with my neighbour that gives me the queer look cos of my plenty kids.
She has turned out to be my pally since i'm home for my leave. Though with no intention of buying anything, I decided to tag along just to while away time.
She seemed to be quite popular when we got to the okrika(fairly used clothes) line in the market‎, I was a bit uncomfortable finding myself there since I long left  the spirit of buying okrika clothes in my university days.  She quickly settled down in mama Ngozi's shop and started selecting first grade okrika, she beckoned me to come in and make selections for myself. When I lowered my head to have a look at the okrika items in the market stall, the bug quickly caught me.

I quickly bent down and started selecting my okrika collections, in no time I had a little heap of fairly used clothes I was willing to purchase. When Mama Ngozi counted the clothes numbered about 10pieces and asked me to pay N3,000 I was shocked that I almost forgot to bargain. I eventually paid for it and our Okrika clothes Were packed for us.

The unique smell from the clothes alone filled the house ‎in no time, I was excited to break the news to DH that I made a good bargain on fairly used clothes, he first had a good laugh at me and asked me to give him so he can see, upon close and careful look at them each an every clothe item had a major fault I didn't see earlier cos they were badly wrinkled.

I am sad right now cos  I lost N3000 for trying to go the cheap way and attempting to blend in, I am sad DH is taunting me saying I got him expensive rags to dust his shoes. I am just sad joor...enough of all these neighbourhood sudden  familiarity abeg, I want to return to work and get busy with my life for real.‎

  5. What fault did the items of clothing have? U know Okriks is not fairly used clothing right? Majority of them are leftover items of clothing from the previous season which shops did not sell. These are donated to various charities who ship them to Africa.

  6. Ah! Some obviously looked worn oo. Most of them had some tears and had obvious stains like urine patch.
