Finding the right one...
Hellloooo? what's up readers? How's your Sallah break? I have slept better part of today, Chai! All the sleepless nights of almost 10yrs I must recover it within this week...lol.
When I woke up, I switched on my phone and so many mails and messages came pouring in. I got busy immediately and started reading through and replying the necessary ones.
Nene my friend right from high school days sent a watsapp message telling me she was at my home earlier in the day, I decided i'd rather give her a call than reply the message.

Insecurity in marriage? how to overcome it.
After reading the popular OAP's interview, what I could deduce from it was that, he is a typical egocentric male and the estranged wife was a little overboard insecure about her man which led to the current fracas.
Lets all understand, especially the unmarried ones that marriage isnt like the fairy happily ever after tales of disney princes nd princess' s. Marriage is tough and even tougher for we in Nigeria but the willingless from both parties to make it work brings about a successful marriage.I found this piece very useful and decided to share it with you all. Domestic violence, who is to blame?
Yesterday an on air personality residing in lagos , Nigeria took to one of his social media accounts to voice out the violence he faced with his estranged wife, he sounded quite bitter in his narration.
He is one of the many men that have come up to report to the world he faced domestic violence from a woman and not the other way round. In as much I don't entirely believe his claims let's look closely at these scenario. Isn't it possible the estranged wife in question fought back in defence?

The big question is here...
I have this male colleague called Bello who got transferred to my unit four years ago, I never really bothered about his personality since we didn't work together as a team. Just the usual 'hi' and 'hello' we say if we come face to face accidentally. Few times he attempted to engage me in little conversations but I didn't seem quite comfortable with it so I just purposely get extremely boring and he walks away.

GOOD NEWS!!!
I've been super excited since yesterday, all my kids passed their exams and officially had their graduation party yesterday. Josh received awards for the best science and mathematics pupil, Esther was awarded the neatest pupil and second best in oral English. Lydia and Prince got no award but Were both promoted to the next class.

The right punishment for broken rules.
Enforcing discipline on a child(ren) has no age barrier, as early as 3months is a good time to discipline a child when he or she errs. Consistency is key in maintaining such discipline and sticking to rules and regulations will likely bring up a good child.
In as much as we put everything into God's hand, God will not come down from heaven to instill discipline into the heads of our kids. He gave us a guide in the holy books as to how to raise our offspring.

What is your experience with In-laws?
When it comes to the issue of in-laws in Nigeria it's what everyone can relate to in one way or the other positively or negatively. Some have good tales about their in-laws while some have not so good tales. Mother-in-laws are the major bone of contention in most marriages in Naija, they are the ones that fight their daughter-in-laws over their sons, they complain almost over and about everything she does and it's absolutely a taboo for the daughter-in-law to defend herself even in the littlest way.

Do working Moms actually have more caring Sons and succesful daughters?
Well,According to a report published on June 19 by the Harvard Business School, daughters of working mothers are more likely to be employed, hold supervisory positions, and earn more money than the daughters of women who don’t work outside the home.

Penury in the land of milk and honey...
The image above is hilarious right? Let's all take a look closely at the caption and ponder on it for just a minute. I'm not a sadist but i can't read it and just take it as a mere humor. Many Nigerians who are abreast with current financial/ salary situation in some states in Nigeria will understand that caption on the image better.

When pikin fall her mama hand...lmao
Something quite embarrassing happened to me today...ok this is it, basically I try to cut my kids sugar intake all the time so as to avoid sugar flare, tooth decay and obesity. Soda, packed juices and chocolates are consumed minimally by my kids. Today we had a guest and I offered her a pack of cold juice, some ice cubes and a glass cup.
Stressed from trying to be the perfect wife and mother?
I just thought if this incident that happened few months ago and I decided to share it with my readers, it's going to be a food for thought for us all.
A while ago my DH's cousin came reporting the wife to my husband, he sounded really bitter while laying his complaint, I excused them to have their discussion with the consolation my DH will let me know if it concerns me.

The lucky one with a maid.
Hey! Who missed me? So sorry readers for been away for three full days. My little girl broke down with mild malaria and had to be admitted in the clinic for observations, that isn't much of an excuse for not dropping even a post within the last three days. I use this particular network provider that prides themselves in green always but the network services isn't reliable, thinking of moving over to the sun or the red rose permanently.
