My inspiration and the need to get the kids busy.

It's exactly a week I started blogging and so far it's been exciting. I have gotten so much blog views that's unbelievable to achieve under a week, thanks to all of you who made it possible and also gotten wonderful and encouraging comments on all posts, I can't thank CG,sweet dee, Miss Chrissy, Tee hills, Adefunke and all the anonymous commenters enough ...lol.

I have so much to share everyday, if only time could permit me I could make up to 5 posts in a day but I need to make money and look after my multitude as well. You might want to know what inspired me to start a diary in form of a blog, right?

Ok, exactly 10days ago DH and I decided we should involve the kids more on house chores while I maintain some basics such as cooking, laundry, bathing the last kid and finally either of us will supervise them on duties and put them through Were necessary. We quickly called them  together ‎to the living room with all seriousness on both our faces so they know it's a serious deal we about to let them in on.

We started by telling them they are responsible for taking care of their rooms, from arranging to sweeping and mopping. Sweeping the living room, Mom/Dad's room and the kitchen was accurately shared and I got each one a a sizeable broom, mop stick and a bucket too. They Were surpringly excited about there new chores, they asked if they could start immediately? I looked at my husband and he gave an approving nodd. I urged them to pick there working tools and show Mummy what they can do. Sweeping wasn't perfect but it was a good start, after mopping I thought it was Lagos flood in my home. I put them through on how to get a perfect house cleaning job done and gave them encouraging hugs and kisses.

The following evening they quickly got to work Before been reminded, they beautifully arranged their rooms and dressed their beds neatly, almost no flood like mopping and even offered to help me in the kitchen. I liked their enthusiasm and  guessed they all wanted to be the favourite child...lol. By the third day I had almost nothing to do except loading the machine with dirty laundry, cooking‎, washing and disinfecting the rest rooms.

By the third day they already began to imbibe some maintenance culture and getting used to the new routine, I noticed I talked less, scolded them a lot less and best of all  I had a lot of rest as well. The house was no longer as noisy as Before and a lot more sanity generally. I couldn't be more impressed i'd say. They get exhausted once they Were  done with their school assignments and house chores and slept almost immediately. ‎

I looked back and thought of all the wonderful, challenging and hilarious moments i've faced as a mother and decided to share it to  other Naija mothers and ofcos other mothers as well.‎

  3. Its good you introduced them to the chores o,even if its not done perfectly, atleast it would relieve u of some of d stress, just make sure u reward them from time to time,I usuall ask my daughter to sweep their room n she's always excited to do it,infact when her sis (my niece ) tries 2 sweep it when she's sweepin oda parts of d house, she starts 2 cry dt she's sweeping her place lol,so I've told that one to leave d room for her.

You're doin a gud job ma'am,its nt easy to combine bloggin with motherhood n u also work,u r rily tryin, keep up the good work
