Easy home made cake recipe.

I promised awhile ago I was going to show you all how to make a simple yet delicious home made sponge cake....well i'd say cake for beginners.
Listed below are the ingredients required for the cake:

1. One sachet of butter(preferably simas butter).
2. Sugar(granulated)
3.  15 eggs.
4. All purpose flour.
5.  Baking powder(preferably foster Clarke product).
6. Vanilla oil.
7. Condensed milk flavour
8. Baking sheet pans.
9. Preservative(optional).

Step 1.

First pre-heat your oven.

In your mixer, pour in sugar and butter to cream.

cream till very fluffy.
Step 2.
Break your eggs and beat with ball point whip till very light and fluffy.

The eggs should be beaten till its very foamy.

Step 3.

Pour in the beaten eggs into the cream of butter and sugar and mix slowly till its combined.
Step 4.

Sieve four cups of flour and add it gently while mixing the batter.
Sieved flour.

Step 5.
Mix in the flour gently till its all combined.

No lumps should be seen after mixing the flour in.

Step 6.
Next step is to add some baking powder to the batter.
I prefer this particular product though.

Measure two and half tea leveled tea spoons of baking powder, sieve and add into batter.

Mix it in properly again, add a half tea spoon of preservation though optional.

Step 7.

Add two table spoons of Condensed milk flavour and one table spoon of vanilla oil.

Step 8.
Clean your baking sheet pans and grease them, dust off light with some flour.

Step 9.

Pour in the batter gently into the pan   half way, reason been that it'll rise to the top of the pan while baking.

 Step 10.

Place the pans in the oven to bake approximately 45mins

Step 11.

Reduce the oven heat to step 2 or 220 degree.(lowest heat)

The image above shows the cakes in the oven after 35mins.

Here are the cakes after baking in the oven for 45mins.
To check if they are properly cooking, stick in a clean skewer or know in the middle of the pan, if it comes out clean then it's cooked, if sticky they need to remain in the oven for few more minutes.

Extremely tasty, yummy, soft and healthy cake I just made.

Try yours out and share with us the first attempt.

    1. It's best you take practical lessons, that way you'll learn better. Unless it's just messy icing not for professional purpose.

  10. In a wedding world where casual has gone chic and DIY is delightfully divine, it's no wonder that brides are saying out with the filet minion and in with the fried chicken! Not only are couples strapping down on their nuptial budget allowance, they are also finding the true baked comfort food in "comfort food". Why risk the chance of guests spitting out the exorbitantly expensive salmon tartare, when you know all they want is a homemade pot roast?
